Power Line Communication for Home Automation Applications
Hromádka, Michal ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a modem for a communication over residential power lines. First part is focused on the history, suitable frequency bands, modulation techniques and mainly on the selection of the optimal modem device. Second section contains the description of the hardware design of the modem itself and clarifies the implementation of the PLC module to be used as a communication interface for a full residential automation solution. Last chapters of this thesis introduce the communication protocol, design of the software for the ATmega32 MCU and present of the final field testing under real conditions.
Wind tunnel model with universal inputs and outputs
Holčík, Martin ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design and implement a model of wind tunnel. The model can be controlled in various ranges of standardized signals in both analog and digital form. The model consists two fans - an electrically driven fan and fan driven by air stream. The outputs from the model are standardized signals, carrying information about the speed of second fan. The following document discusses the design of components, and subsequent implementation of the technical problems that occurred, a description of the final solution and the software part of the solution.
Digital audio amplifier with universal inputs
Svadbík, Pavel ; Stifter,, Jiří (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with digital audio amplifier with universal inputs and its design. The first part describes modulation and audio formats for audio electronics. The thesis contain design of a block diagram of the digital audio amplifier and describes the requirements for functional blocks. As a basic device for audio signal processing was choosen integrated circuit STA326. The thesis continue with circuits design for each blocks with a description of their principles. The next section describes the construction and firmware for microcontroller. The last part of this diploma thesis is targeted on the presentation of the measured parameters of the amplifier. The conclusion summarizes the results that have been achieved and advantages and disadvantages of the digital audio amplifier prototype.
Microprocessor-controlled autonomous source of constant current and voltage
Kováč, Marek ; Lattenberg, Ivo (referee) ; Pavelka, Ondřej (advisor)
The task of bachelor thesis is proposal of switching source for the construction of leadacid battery charger 6/12V controlled by microprocessor. It is based on buck converter of voltage. The first part presents the activity of converter and properties of lead-acid batteries, followed by a proposal of converter for a given application. The second part describes a criteria for selection of individual components and dimensioning them. The result of this thesis is simulation of converter in PC program Micro-Cap 9, along with the necessary calculations, a proposal of circuit with the calculation of inductor and methods of measurement of output quantities. Finally, is realized circuit board with a couple measurements and control program for the microcontroller. The entire proposal is focused to achieving the greatest simplicity of facility and efficiency and quality of charging accumulators together at low cost to the product.
Two sensor temperature measurement
Novák, Lukáš ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with PCB design and programming of microcontroller AVR, that communicates with WiFi module and Dallas brand thermometers. Wifi module sends data to internet database. In case of communication malfunction informations are saved into microcontroler´s EEPROM. When communication is restored informations are send to database.
Hardware and software for mobile robots
Sárközy, Gabriel ; Skula, David (referee) ; Veselý, Miloš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to modify hardware and software of small mobile robots, so they can be better used in Micromouse and Path Follower challenges. The first part of the project includes debugging and creating of a correct documentation of the existing electric circuits used in the robot called RUBRIK. My work was also to design and realize mechanical, electrical and software upgrades. The second part includes the design and realization of similar modifications of the robot ROBIK. Each robot has an Atmel AVR microcontroller. Robots are programmed in C programming language.
Realisation of microclimate control system for plants
Fikar, Jan ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of my Bachelor thesis was to design an automatic system that would maintain the perfect conditions for growth and development of indoor plants. Plants kept in human households have specific requirements that are often not met. I measured, altered and evaluated several quantities (humidity, temperature, lighting). The whole system is controlled by microcontroller ATmega32.
Environment control with microcontroller
Králíček, Martin ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor project focuses on equipment for environment management and check with help of microcontroller. This equipment should enable us to check and manage home environment for example for goldfish, hamsters, spiders and other small pets. Further on, this project describes individual parts of equipment which the ECM-01 consists of. ECM-01 is consists of general block, feed block, relay block with power supply and sensors. The ECM-01 consists of several functional blocks which are controlled by the main microcontroller. The functional blocks contain measurement transducers and action units. The choice of blocks depends both on individual environment and the user. The user can choose which values he needs to control and measure.
